WorshipU 2020 Promotion
Thank you again.
What an honor it is to present a treatment for this project. We appreciate your time and the opportunity to share with you. So let’s jump right in.

We love this theme for the conference, and Dario’s direction resonates with me in several ways. Especially with his nod to material dispersion and what happens when pure white light is pushed through a prism. The thing about the prism is it takes the light and separates the light into different colors. So the expression of that light is entirely dependent on the properties within the prism or reflective material.
Within this event, there is quite a spectrum of expression. The obvious ones are worship leaders, musicians, artists, dancers, and all those multidisciplinary creatives. But beyond that, they minister in places like Sweden or San Antonio, California, or Canada. God is gathering them here in this moment to shine in light through them for the world around them. Their world to see. A world that can only be reached through their hands. This is what I hope we can make clear and inspire in each potential attendee.

Light It Up
The concept is simple. Creatives connecting with God and with those in their world. They are both receiving and reflecting his light to the world in real and practical ways. We follow multiple characters as they seek, discover, and share. Either through creative or as they lead and share with those around them. Throughout the narrative, these characters may not transcend each of these milestones. But they will connect through til the end.
In life, we find ourselves at one of these places. Seeking counsel, wisdom, or direction, discovering the right door to lead us through, finding new revelation, or arriving at a long-awaited destination. And finally sharing with others the knowledge and wisdom we gained through our journey.

Multi-Characters
The past couple years we have focused on featuring individual characters at a time. We would like to show both those characters and the world around them.
Real Locations
In the past we have gathered all the creatives in one location and tied the brand around them. In this concept the characters represent the brand. Individuals bringing light into this world.
The Process
We’d love to bring some tension to the video. Not just the successes but the work it takes to arrive there. The before and not just the after. This contrast will help make the entire story richer.
Characters
As in the past, we would aim to have creatives from all walks of life. We would also have a cast with varying talent and expressions. Singers, musicians, dancers, creatives in general.
Locations
We would like to use both some everyday locations like home, church, studio. But for some of the dancing or performing we were thinking it may be fun to scatter in a little bit of what we have done in the past using warehouse and tech involved spaces.

Movement & Shooting Style
These are the closest elements we could find to help visually articulate how we were thinking this could come together. Each of these sources of inspiration have something that helps us communicate how we would execute the above concept. Feel free to skim or watch as a whole. And see below for more detail.
Love the characters in this piece. They range in age and background. Each in their own world independent from each other but each moving forward toward their goals.
This is much more of Doco-style piece. But you can still see the micro scenes that bring you into their world.
I feel like placing a dancer or musician in a space like this and utilizing some lighting with programing could really round out the creative aspects of the piece as a whole and really bring more to the table and separate the content from a piece like the Yamaha one.
